City Lights & Furry Friends
Kelly & Rich live in the city's heart and knew they wanted photos at a nearby park they visit. And (of course!) bring their cute puppy Guinness along for the ride. I LOVE incorporating pets in sessions. I am a huge animal lover, and those are photos couples can treasure forever. Since pups, similar to children, can get tired and agitated during the session, Kelly and Rich kicked off their session with family photos of all three of them. After that, Rich took Guinness back home for a much-deserved rest!
Romantic & Dramatic
Kelly and Rich were natural pros! Engagement sessions can take a lot of time, especially in a congested area like NYC on the weekend. We'd take photos, pause, let people pass us by, and repeat. Kelly and Rich also waited it out for the sunset & blue hour for more dramatic photos. I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVE doing dramatic photos with my lights to capture the beautiful colors in the sky and city lights.
Their session had it all! Bright colors of the late afternoon, golden hour where the sun washes over the skin and the frame is filled with gold and yellow light, you can feel the warmth! Then, the dramatic sunset and blur hour capturing the blues, pinks, and purples in the sky and, of course, the iconic NYC skyline.
